Introduction

Abstract

The cryptocurrency industry faces several significant challenges despite the success of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Bitcoin's Proof of Work (PoW) consensus mechanism, while secure, is highly energy-intensive, contributing to environmental concerns. Ethereum's Proof of Stake (PoS), on the other hand, although more energy-efficient, has been criticized for favoring those with significant capital, making it less fair and accessible to new entrants. Moreover, newcomers to the cryptocurrency space often struggle to find a suitable entry point due to the complexity and capital requirements of existing systems. Despite these issues, Bitcoin and Ethereum remain the most successful blockchains globally, yet many new blockchain projects fail to leverage the advantages of their consensus mechanisms effectively.

Here, we propose Biturbo, a new hybrid blockchain that combines the strengths of both Bitcoin and Ethereum to address these dilemmas. By leveraging our unique Proof of Transaction (PoT) and Proof of Liquidity (PoL) mechanisms, Biturbo introduces a balanced, EVM-compatible blockchain designed to solve the industry's pressing issues.

PoT encourages active network participation by rewarding users for their transaction activity, significantly reducing the energy consumption associated with traditional PoW systems. PoL incentivizes liquidity provision by rewarding users for contributing assets to the network's pools, ensuring that staking does not reduce on-chain liquidity and making the system more inclusive for newcomers. By integrating the best features of Bitcoin's security and Ethereum's smart contract capabilities, Biturbo creates a dynamic and robust ecosystem that enhances both scalability and security.

Unlike many blockchain projects backed by venture capital, Biturbo is community-driven, allowing early participants to have a significant impact on its development and ensuring that the network remains fair and decentralized.
